limoncello mousse dessert
Ingredients:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup mascarpone cheese (or cream cheese)
1/4 cup Limoncello (Italian lemon liqueur)
1/4 cup powdered sugar
Zest of 1 lemon (optional for extra citrus flavor)
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
In another bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese and Limoncello until smooth.
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.
Spoon the mousse into serving cups and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
Before serving, top with fresh lemon zest and, if desired, a small drizzle of Limoncello.
